Wow...has it really been that long?

It's been over a year since I updated here...
Sam keeps asking me, "Are you going to post on the blog?" and I always say, "When things slow down a bit..."

Do you know what?
Life doesn't slow down.
That's part of what makes it life.
If life didn't have it's ups and downs and craziness, just imagine how boring that would be?!

So, I guess, I'm just going to start posting the random pictures I take on my phone of my crazy, messy, fun, everyday life of a mom with three littles. :)

Here are some pictures from the year or so to catch you up....

Emma was in the ER twice in Feb of last year....the first time for a febrile seizure and the second time to get 7 stitches in her pinky finger

Moving our RV across the street to our new pad that my dad and Sam built for us

In May we were surprised to find out another Schatte was on the way!

Emma was a flower girl when my sister Sarah married Cody Helm :)

We traveled up to TN to see one of my sweet friends, Amanda marry Russel Lewis

How we announced that we found out we were having a boy :)

On the way to have a fun shopping outing with Daddy

We went to a mall in Plano and that was the first time Emma had ridden a escalator...she was pretty impressed! :)

Up at the station helping Sam work on his truck

reading books is a favorite pastime at our house

it's even better if you can get Daddy to read to you!

going on a walk

more reading

Fall means going down to Galveston for our yearly beach fix

Sam and I got to slip away for a bit and go out to eat

Sam and I also went on a quick trip to San Antonio to see an airplane that was for sale, and made a quick stop to see the Alamo

a bit of humor for you.....

In October, we welcomed Deborah into the family...which meant another trip to TN

I got put on bed rest the last two weeks of James' pregnancy....which meant lots of meals in bed! :)

and lots of snuggles! :)

January 9th at 6:56 in the morning Samuel James made his grand entrance

Due to my blood pressure being high, my midwife didn't feel safe delivering him at home, so we ended up having to go to Baylor Dallas to have him, which was a bit different than we planned, but he was born healthy with out a c-section, and overall a pretty smooth delivery! :)

Hillary wasn't able to come to my birth, but she came the next day :)

I was so happy to be holding him!

Emma and Corrie absolutely dote on him!

all three of the kiddos at about 2 weeks old

Spent the day at the station washing the trucks

When cousins show up at church matching, you take a picture

Corrie and I watching the Super Bowl together :)

Emma and her little friend Katie during church

Deb and I took some snacks and Gatorade to the guys while they were on a fire

My mother reading to the girls

baby snuggles are the best

I was in the middle of folding laundry, and Corrie brought me a book and says, 'read?'....and I couldn't refuse that face! :)

Got to sit in on a fire dep meeting that Sam ran since Chief wasn't there

Took the girls to the Tyler zoo for Emma and Katie's birthdays

I love this man so much! <3

I found a complete candy land game at Goodwill and have been enjoying teaching Emma to play

My sister Sarah had her little girl, Trinity 5 weeks after James was born.
This is how we work now.... :)

They all wanted to sit in my lap to read

We had homemade burgers outside one nice evening

another outing to a zoo, the Dallas one this time

we all had our babies within about 7 weeks of each other,
so we took a picture together at Deborah's shower

And, James celebrated turning 5 months by starting to scoot and crawl

Hope you enjoyed this update!
I'll try my hardest to post more often, but we'll see how it goes....
