Random happenings.....

 Warning: this is an extremely random post....

not a whole lot has been happening, and I've been taking even fewer pictures....sorry! I'll try to do better! :)

Here are a few though.....

Holding little Danny when he was two days old! 

He is such a little doll!!!!

Most girls get taken 'out' on dates....My Sweetheart takes me 'up' on them!!! ;)

On a whim one Saturday evening, My Darling husband decided he needed some flight time....

When Danny was a week old, we went over and played some games and took turns holding him....

Dad and his Grandson...Somehow, I won't mention any names, but Danny got his first taste of ice cream that night.....shhhhhhh ;)

The Brake pads and a caliper needed replacing on the truck, so Sam and I spend last Sat. evening at the 'Big' Schatte's to fix it....and stayed the night! That was really fun! I think Mom Schatte, Sam and I stayed up till nearly midnight talking.... :)

Another random tidbit: the pool at the apartment is getting some work done on it....like you really wanted to know that.... ;)

In other news....there has been a lot of work at the hanger, so Sam has been working some later hours than normal....But we are very thankful for his job!!!! :)

Oh, and I might be helping out with a friend who had preemie twin boys that are hopefully coming home from the hospital soon!!! Aren't they just adorable?!?!?!!!!!!

recent happenings......

Sorry, I don't have any pictures for this post....I'm afraid I've been very negligent in that respect....

This last week has been very fun! Wednesday night, I spend a fun evening with my sisters during men's meeting, and got caught up on all the 'goings on' on the farm since I've been gone. And then I drove the truck home from the Davis'....that was a little scary, but Samuel has been very patient teaching me to drive stick...I am soooo blessed to have him for a husband!!!!!! 

Friday, Sam picked me up straight after work, we ate supper in the car(pizza!) and headed to Trenton for family night at the 'big' Schatte's house!!! which means a fun evening of volleyball, ice cream and a movie! :D We actually stayed the night, because Sam had to replace 3 parts on the truck, and there's a rule at the apartment that you can't work on cars in the parking lot, even though we have seen other people do it...besides, the tools were all at Dad and Mom's, and I had boatloads of fun spending the day with the girls!!! :D

Sunday was my first time to bring food to a Meal Sunday, which was kinda fun! :) and after church, we went over to Daddy & Mommy Hale's and visited and held Bobby, and caught up!!!

Monday has turned into our shopping day, so after supper, we headed out to Aldi's and WalMart, which are only a few blocks from our apartment! :) 

Tuesday, Esther, Faith and Liz came and spent the afternoon with me, and I showed them all the 'perks' of the apartment complex...which isn't very much, but it's nice to get out and walk around! :) Then, we had supper together, and headed out to GFA prayer meeting, which I always enjoy immensely! :D Uncle Fred gave the devotional, and his are always good in a prick-ish sort of way....last night he talked about resisting God's calling in your life, and how important it is to listen to the Holy Spirit's promptings....which was really neat, because that was one of Mr. Beeman's points in his sermon on Sunday! :)

I'll leave you with a few verses that have been going through my head this morning, as I've been pondering both Mr. B's and Uncle Fred's messages:

Ezekiel 22:30

And I sought for a man among them,

and stand in the gap before me for the land,

that I should not destroy it:

Hello from the happily newly weds!!!

As of March 9th, 2013 at 2:38pm, we are now Samuel and Esther Schatte!!!!!  

The wedding went very smoothly, and with only one 'hitch' :)

We are soooo blessed to have so many sweet friends and family to pitch in and help!

I'll be posting more pics soon, but here are a few to whet your appetite....

Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Schatte....oh so happy!!!

We went to the Grand Canyon for our honeymoon....and no, we weren't to wrapped up in ourselves to notice the gorgeous scenery...not the whole time at least... ;)

And now we are trying to settle in to the new 'normal'.....I went around the apartment this morning and snapped some random pictures....

We're really short on cabinet space so, at Samuel's brilliant suggestion, we are storing our dishes in the dishwasher...

Two other very special wedding gifts: a handmade sign from Mr. Benner, and a volleyball that Andrew H. got  the wedding party, our parents, and Mr. Hutchins to all sign!!! :)

Monday was my birthday, and my Handsome Husband got me some flowers....and that knife set is kinda special as well...from Matt Marshall, one of Sam's co-workers! :)

Well, that's all for now...We don't have internet at the apartment, except for on our phones, But the clubhouse in the apartment complex has wi-fi, so I'll try to come down here and post some things every so often...and the clubhouse is all the way on the other side of the complex.

I'm definitely getting my exercise here...we're on the 3rd floor, and every day, I walk down and check the mail which is halfway across the complex...I don't think I'll be getting any 'happy pounds'..... ;)
